The Chapel in Coimbra

The Church is Coimbra was a house that was redesigned to be the chapel. It had a great view of the city.
The church was located on the Penedo da Saudade. It was a garden with lots of stone plaques that were used to honor outstanding figures in the community or to write poems and feelings. Penedo da Saudade was built in 1849 when Pedro IV (King of Portugal) went there to mourn the death of his love D. Ines de Castro.
This was a beautiful park filled with stone poems, beautiful paths, and a great view of the city.

My first district. Elder Johnson, Irma Svedin, Irma Evans, Irma Call, Elder Tysick, Elder Martin, Elder Spiel, Elder Blankenship, and Elder Roberts. We had a lot of fun as a district - having crazy district meetings and every week going to pizza hut buffet.
The view of the city from our chapel.
