We would always give Renan pamphlets to chew on during the lessons so that he would be quiet and Joseane could pay attention to the lessons.

The Medeiros were such a great family. I was so glad that I was able to teach this wonderful family. The made me feel at home from day one. We had so much fun singing the hymns while Gilmar played the guitar. We had so much fun eating Brasilian food and getting our nails done and just always having a good time. One funny experience was when they wanted to show us a movie for our lesson and my companion told them that it was okay, well it turned out to be the creepiest movie about Adam and Eve. But in the end we were able to have a really great lesson about what we believe about Adam and Eve and it turned out to be a really great lesson. We also celebrated birthdays together, learned a lot together, and best of all it was wonderful when Joseane was finally baptized and joined most of her family in becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
